Whether it's a steep slope or an arena, a proscenium or an orchestra pit, the front, back, or understage, an iron curtain or a half curtain: the architecture of the theater shapes our view of the stage. It shapes how we see, hear, and experience. To mark the 50th anniversary of our theater building, we invite you to a very special construction site. Together with the S AM Swiss Architecture Museum, we are giving big questions space – and a stage. Using materials from the theater's collection and remnants of past productions, we are creating a theater of encounters: an open, transformable installation for children, adults, individuals, and groups. Here, you can design, build, play, and transform – freely, according to your desires and imagination.
