Takeover Tour through the current exhibition ‘Beton’ with Nicola Navone, Archivio del Moderno dell’ Accademia di Architettura / USI 

A Takeover Tour with Nicola Navone will take place, with emphasis and focus on contributions from the Archivio del Moderno dell’Accademia di Architettura at Università della Svizzera italiana (USI).
Nicola Navone is deputy director of Archivio del Moderno, a lecturer at the USI Accademia di Architettura di Mendrisio and a member of the graduate school Architecture: Innovation and Heritage, Università Roma Tre. He is the author of numerous studies and publications, a curator of exhibitions in Switzerland and abroad, and has been a visiting professor at Università Iuav di Venezia. He is currently directing the SNSF research project ‘L’architettura nel Cantone Ticino, 1945-1980’.

The Archivio del Moderno of the Università della Svizzera italiana is a foundation, an archive and a study centre working in the field of the history of architecture, engineering, urban planning, design and visual arts and is part of the European network of research centres dedicated to this field of study. It keeps archives of architects, engineers, urban planners, designers and visual operators of Italian culture, from the end of the 18th century to the present day, who have played a significant role in the affirmation of modernity. In addition to ordering and inventorying the fonds, it promotes research at an international level, produces publications and organises and participates in exhibitions based on its documentary heritage.
