Naples was and is a city made for cinema. Stadtkino Basel, together with S AM Swiss Museum of Architecture, are presenting a special glance at this vibrant city. The program, curated by Salvatore Aprea and Barbara Tirone, shows the people who form Naples and lets us explore this exceptional place through the eyes and feelings of its protagonists. After all, who can bring a city closer than the inhabitants themselves?
The series has been conceived on the occasion of the exhibition 'Napoli Super Modern' (May 12 to August 21, 2022) of the S AM, which is curated by the Parisian office LAN. The film program is the result of a collaboration between the Stadtkino Basel, the École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne, the Maison de l'Architecture in Geneva and the S AM.
