S AM Calls: Philippe Rahm on Instagram Live

17:00 (5 PM) CEST / 11:00 EDT
S AM Calls: Philippe Rahm, architect and founder of Philippe Rahm architectes, Paris

«S AM Calls» is a series of Instagram Live conversations with practitioners and thinkers from the world of architecture on the pressing questions driving the built environment today.

On Thursday, 23 July, at 17:00 (5 PM) CEST / 11:00 EDT, please join us on our Instagram page (@s_am_basel) for the next «S AM Calls» conversation between S AM Director Andreas Ruby and Philippe Rahm.
Philippe Rahm is a Swiss architect based in Paris. He expands the notion of architecture from the physiological to the meteorological, an approach that has earned him an international audience in discussions surrounding sustainability. In 2002, Rahm represented Switzerland at the 8th Architectural Biennale in Venice. He has been teaching architectural design at the Harvard University Graduate School of Design since the fall of 2014. Rahm’s research on the topic of «meteorological architecture» is currently on view in the exhibition «Under the Radar», which runs until August 30.

All conversations take place in English and are recorded. If you missed the previous conversations with Jacques Herzog, Vittorio Magnago Lampugnani, Ludovica Molo, Richard Hassell, Ana Puigjaner, Theo Deutinger, Jeanne Gang, Eyal Weizman or Rahul Mehrotra you can catch up on our InstagramFacebook, and YouTube channels.

We have been made aware that the video sometimes does not show up at all on Instagram. In this case, please update your Instagram application to the newest version and try again. If the problem persists, please let us know.
