Swiss Art Awards 2023 (June 12 – 18)
The Swiss Art Competition, held annually since 1899, is the oldest art prize in the world. The Swiss Art Awards (SAA) exhibition, organised by the Federal Office of Culture, provides an overview of contemporary art and architecture in Switzerland and is a unique reference for professionals and art lovers.
The award in the architecture category promotes experiments that are only rarely possible in the day-to-day operations of architects. With experiments there always remains a risk and so the SAA 2023 version of grillovasiu's project (awarded 2022) unfortunately could not be completed for technical reasons. However, the pavilion will be realized at a later date in a different context.
A conversation in collaboration with the S AM Swiss Museum of Architecture between Romina Grillo, Liviu Vasiu (grillovasiu) and Andreas Kofler (S AM) offers, among other things, the opportunity to talk in detail about the pavilion, its creation and its future development.
