Klangräume

Das Architekturmuseum eröffnet seine neuen Räume in der Kunsthalle mit Klanginstallationen von Andy Guhl, Fritz Hauser

und dem ensemble für neue musik zürich

Die erste Ausstellung des Architekturmuseums in der Kunsthalle galt den neuen Räumen. Eine kleine Präsentation im Eingangssaal gab anhand von Plänen, Skizzen, Zeichnungen oder historischen Fotografien Einblick in die Gesamtrenovation der Kunsthalle unter der Leitung des Basler Büros Miller & Maranta und die Transformation der Räume des Flügels am Steinenberg für das Architekturmuseum durch den Zürcher Architekten Peter Märkli. Alle übrigen Ausstellungsräume und vor allem die Wände blieben bewusst leer, um so die Architektur der neuen Lokalität selbst zum Mittelpunkt, zum Thema zu machen. Die Klanginstallationen von Andy Guhl «TT Soundinstallation», Fritz Hauser «Wandlungen. Klanginstallation für 3 Räume» und dem ensemble für neue musik zürich «Klangraumbegehungen» steigerten die visuelle Wahrnehmung, intensivierten die Auseinandersetzung der Besucherinnen und Besucher mit dem neuen Ort.

In cooperation with the Professional Group for Architecture of the Swiss Society of Engineers and Architects SIA and the Architectural Council of Switzerland
 

The exhibition provides a unique glimpse into the future of Swiss architecture: In presenting the winning projects from the two previous editions (2022/2023) of the national master’s thesis competition ‘SIA Master Prize’, this show introduces ambitious visions by young architects that also provide exciting input for architectural practice.

Soft Power: The Brussels Way of Making the City

The exhibition 'Soft Power: The Brussels Way of Making the City' traces Belgium's journey to becoming an internationally renowned hotspot for contemporary architecture and urban planning. The show sheds light on the framework conditions that have given rise to a high-quality building culture in Brussels and encouraged a new generation of architects to participate in its urban development.
