The 'denk mal bar' invites you to discuss the heritage conservation of tomorrow over a cool drink - because heritage conservation is and always has been a matter of negotiation.
On selected Thursday evenings, experts from the fields of architecture and heritage conservation invite you to their signature drinks and informal discussions on the future of heritage conservation.
This use echoes the former Kunsthalle Bar, which operated in the same space for two decades from 1984.
Sonja Flury is an architect living in Zurich. She is co-founder and president of the ProSaffa1958-Pavillon association with the aim of reappraising and rebuilding Berta Rahms' contribution to Saffa 1958. She puts her interest in the rapprochement between planning and building into practice in the architectural cooperative C/O ELSE. As a member of the ZAS*, she participates in critical discourses on Swiss building culture. Since 2019 she has been a lecturer at the chair of Prof. Tom Emerson.
The denk mal bar was developed and operated by the architecture collective squadra for the exhibition “What Was Could Be.”
