The S AM Swiss Architecture Museum offers a wide range of activities for children and families.

Drop-In Workshop: Experimenting with light and history!
For young and old (as part of Open House Kids)
In the cyanotype drop-in workshop, you can create your own pictures using a historical printing technique - inspired by the preservation of historical monuments and the question of how we preserve and reinterpret what already exists. Come along, become part of the creative process and discover the connection between past, present and future in the exhibition “What could have been”!

Cyanotype: A workshop with sun printing
Discover the simple photographic printing process. Be inspired by the works in the Kunsthalle Basel and the Swiss Architecture Museum and create unique works.

Cooperation between cultural institutions around Theater Basel
Every Wednesday, once a month, from Wednesday September 4, 2024 to Wednesday June 18, 2025
Discover Basel's cultural world together: once a month, young explorers (aged 8 and over) meet in the Foyer Public and set off on an expedition to a cultural institution around Theater Basel.
A collaboration between Theater Basel and Kunsthalle Basel as well as Sinfonieorchester Basel, Historisches Museum Basel, Stadtkino Basel, Schweizerisches Architekturmuseum (S AM) and Literaturhaus Basel.
